Located in the charming town of Ruoms, our base provides direct access to the clear waters, limestone cliffs, and hidden beaches of the Ardèche river.

We have selected three iconic routes to help you explore the beauty of the Ardèche valley, from the medieval village of Balazuc to the wilder stretches of the river.

🟡 The Family Discovery (6 km) – Pradons to Ruoms

• Level: Easy / Beginners

• Duration: Approx. 1.5 to 2.5 hours

• Highlights: The perfect introduction to canoeing. This calm and scenic stretch is ideal for families with young children or those looking for a quick, refreshing escape.

🔵 The Scenic Adventure (14 km) – Balazuc to Ruoms

• Level: Intermediate

• Duration: Approx. 3.5 to 4.5 hours (Full day recommended)

• Highlights: Start your journey from Balazuc, officially one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France." This route offers a perfect mix of spectacular cliffs, swimming spots, and accessible rapids. It is our most popular choice for a full day of fun!

💡 Practical Information

• Requirements: All participants must be at least 7 years old and able to swim 25 meters.

• What to bring: Water shoes (closed-toe shoes are mandatory), swimwear, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and plenty of water.

• Booking: Online reservation is highly recommended, especially during July and August.

Our Canoe Routes

6 km Route – Easy

Perfect for families with children and beginners.
A relaxing canoe trip from Pradons to Ruoms.
Duration: approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

14 km Route – Discovery

A beautiful route from Balazuc to Ruoms with cliffs, beaches, and small rapids.
Duration: approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours.

The proposed routes are also suitable for beginners.

The third seat for a child under 10 years old is half price.
Children must be at least 7 years old, and all participants must be able to swim.

Safety and Practical Information

For your safety and that of your family, please wear and properly fasten your life jackets.

To ensure you have a pleasant experience and avoid inconvenience on the river, the following items are essential:

• Closed shoes are mandatory
• Bring drinking water (the water from the Ardèche River is not drinkable)
• A cap or hat (for protection from the sun and rain) as well as sunscreen
• Food/snacks (there are no food facilities in the Ardèche Gorges)
• A change of clothes
